Cinema Room

CEEN was commissioned to create an immersive cinema space that transcends the typical home theatre experience. The design needed to craft a distinct atmosphere that would transport viewers away from reality while maintaining comfort and sophistication.

We enveloped the space with a rounded curtain that returns behind the screen, creating a cocoon-like environment. The seating combines a vintage curved sofa featuring pill-shaped cushions with two 1970s chairs and pouffes, all upholstered in Pierre Frey's Ivoire Teddy Mohair fabric. Every element was deliberately softened and rounded, fostering a surrealist, childlike atmosphere. The tactile fabric choice creates a nostalgic comfort, like embracing a childhood furry friend, while the curved forms craft an environment that serves as a portal for escape from reality.
