We were asked to create an outdoor dining sanctuary suitable for luxury summer entertaining, providing a sense of height and enclosure without requiring planning permission at the top of a high-rise. The space needed to feel warm and inviting, avoiding the cold, industrial materials typical of city terraces.

Drawing from Mediterranean garden aesthetics, we used materials typically reserved for interiors to create a luxurious outdoor dining experience. The table is enveloped in bold patterned onyx porcelain, appearing as if carved from oversized crystals. Matte gold-colored slate walls provide warmth and insulation, while LED-lit shelving offers elegant display space for glassware. The design deliberately eschews greys and blues in favour of warmer tones, transforming a commercial terrace into an intimate dining sanctuary that retains its allure through all seasons.
