In central Manchester, this 50 square meter apartment awaited transformation into something beyond conventional living space. Our clients sought a hedonistic yet intimate retreat - a private world where they could play, unwind, and withdraw from the outside world. The challenge lay in creating a design that balanced retro inspiration with deep personal connection.
CEEN's response centred on the curved line, using it to create continuous movement throughout the space. The primary zone features carefully curated ambient lighting and twin en-suites, establishing the exclusive nature of this couples' retreat. Adjacent, a home cinema epitomizes pure indulgence with its vintage curved sofa, reupholstered in Pierre Frey's teddy mohair, while concealed projector screens descend silently from above. The palette, dominated by soothing nudes, wraps the space in a cocoon-like atmosphere that makes the outside world fall away. Each element was selected to reinforce the sense of escape, from the tactile surfaces to the thoughtfully placed mirrors. The result is an uncompromising tribute to intimate luxury - a sophisticated urban hideaway that makes you never want to leave.
